CELEBRATING WOMEN

INNOVATE AND DISRUPT?

Today, on International Women’s Day, I got to thinking about how the notion of innovation and disruption has shown up in different ways throughout history.

And is it possible that women in general across history are examples of innovation and disruption?

When women were able to have careers?

When women were allowed to vote?

When women started having a voice in parliament and in boardrooms?

When women could have a career and be a mother?

Is it possible that there were many people that saw this more as a disruption to the comfort of ‘what was’ and ‘what they knew’ and a threat to their ‘beneficial agenda), rather than an opportunity for beneficial change?

And is it possible that if there wasn’t a level of support from men and others in business, boardrooms, parliaments and the fathers in our families that we as women might still be living in ‘the dark ages’?

So as a passionate and proud woman, I’d like to disrupt the ‘usual’ programming we see on International Women’s Day to thank not only the MEN in our lives and in history, but EVERYONE who has had the courage to lean into change...

… to change the way that they think about things that has ultimately resulted in the opportunities that so many of us have available to us today – on International Women’s Day – and EVERY DAY.

And thank you to YOU who are honouring that opportunity by living your biggest, best and juice life every single day.

Because what’s available for us today hasn’t always been, and may not always be.

WOMEN CELEBRATING WOMEN

I think it's so awesome to see so many amazing women in business.

Being able to have true role models as a young woman thriving to take on leadership and become a woman of business.

From having our first interview with Loretta from Willis Temby to our second interview with Clare from The Property Exchange, it was so eye-opening, AND WOW are these women truly amazing.

There has been times where I have fallen guilty to setting such unreachable expectations for myself because I have to prove that I am worth it and I deserve it.

When in reality I didnt need to prove that to anyone but myself, the passion spoke for itself but I find that woman tend to put these expectations that are just beyond a joke...like we cant ever be these perfect people with their S*** together because you know what no one does.

I have never been more excited to evolve myself knowing that other women have struggled with the same thing but still achieved what they want.

You got this...and so do I
