He was right, don't you believe them! 

In a VUCA world, when everything is changing and moving rapidly, we can ill afford as business owners and leaders to fall behind. You risk fading away into obscurity, and irrelevance and end up growing out of business. 

The challenge is, that things could be going really good right now! Yes, I understand you are taking advantage of favorable circumstances.

"Dave, we are making hay while the sunshines!" 

I get it. I truly do. 

The challenge is, are you making plans for when the sun doesn't shine? Or when the soil dries up? Or when consumers no longer want hay?

Or do you believe that your product will always be in demand, the way you do it?

Let's face it, if we've learned anything over the past 10 years or so, is that even government-regulated industries, those that thought they were "untouchable" still had their world turned upside down.

If anyone tells you that "You don't understand how it IS in our business" or "You don't understand how it IS in our industry" or even worse, "That's just the way it IS..."

Ah, but don't you believe them...
