All The Tools You Need To Build A Successful Online Business

CIRCLELEADERSHIP GLOBAL

FREE 3-HOUR LIVE ONLINE WORKSHOP · OCTOBER 2026

It runs without you. But does it lead?

Build leadership
that stays.
When your
leaders leave.

Everyone is selling you a business that runs without you. In three hours, discover why that's only half the job, and how to build leadership into the organization itself (without handing your business to your next indispensable person).

THE QUESTION NOBODY ASKS

What happens when your
replacement leaves?

Leadership is the property of the organization. Not a position within it.

When the leader leaves the room, leadership remains.

Leading leadership
since 1999.

Worked live.

A FAMILIAR STORY

You stepped back.
But the business still
depends on someone.

You step back. Someone capable steps up.

Decisions come off your desk. Your phone goes quiet. You finally take a holiday.

Then that person leaves.

Decisions pile up. Disagreements come back to your desk. Within weeks, you are running the business again.

You get breathing room. They get a phone that never stops.

Meanwhile, capable people throughout the business keep waiting for answers. Some stop offering ideas. Others learn that taking responsibility means doing the work while somebody else does the deciding.

Eventually, you start asking why your people lack initiative.

And the biggest problem of all?

Look at what you have taught them.

The dependency changed names.

DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?

Are you a business owner or CEO who...

  • Has stepped back, or wants to, but knows everything would stall if one key person left?
  • Hired a capable GM or leader and watched decisions start routing through them instead of you?
  • Developed someone brilliant, and six months later they resigned?
  • Has teams that bring you their disagreements instead of resolving them?
  • Prescribes every move, then wonders why people keep coming back for the next instruction?
  • Has purpose, values, vision and mission written down somewhere, but knows the business wasn't built from them?
  • Has been told the answer is to "build a business that runs without you" and suspects something is missing?

If you answered YES to any of these, claim your free seat before the room fills.

IT RUNS WITHOUT YOU. BUT DOES IT LEAD?

You replaced yourself.
The organization
learned nothing.

Every consultant and guru has the same promise: build a business that runs without you.

It sounds like freedom. It works, for a while.

Some will tell you it runs on a system. A system helps your business run as it is. It does nothing to help it evolve. Systemizing your isness is a fool's game.

And behind every system, authority and leadership still sit in positions. Whether you hand the business to a person or a system, the leadership stays in a position. When one of those people retires, resigns or gets poached, the decisions and the leadership walk out the door with them. And you get dragged back in.

The person was never the source. They were the carrier.

You already know this about your clients. You'd never let your biggest client belong to one account manager. What you want is the relationship with the business, strengthened by the person. So when the person leaves, the client stays.

Leadership is no different.

THE IDEA AT THE HEART OF THE WORKSHOP

Leadership is the property
of the organization.
Not a position within it.

Read the sentence properly. Positions don't disappear. People still hold roles. People still carry authority. Someone still owns every decision. A position carries authority and responsibility. It doesn't give you ownership of the purpose, the values, the vision or the mission. Those belong to the organization.

STRUCTURE

Who has authority.

ARCHITECTURE

What has authority.

Structure is what you built. Architecture is what decided it.

THE TEST

Take the person
out of the room.

Watch what happens when someone has to make a difficult decision and the person they usually depend on isn't there.

01

Can they find direction in what the organization stands for?

02

Do they have the authority to act?

03

Can they explain their decision against commitments everyone answers to, the founder included?

If the answer is no, leadership is sitting in a position. This workshop shows you how to build it into the organization.

WHY NOW

The old fight between departments
is about to scale.

People who have never led anyone are about to direct teams of AI agents. Give every department its own agents without a shared architecture, and marketing's agents chase marketing's targets, finance's chase finance's, operations' chase theirs. The old fight between departments doesn't go away. It scales.

Distribute that much capability and you'd better distribute the understanding to lead it.

WHAT YOU’LL LEAVE WITH

See where leadership sits.
And what it takes to make it stay.

A facilitator leads a Circle Leadership workshop with participants seated around tables.

THE WORKSHOP

Three hours.
Four sessions.
Your real decisions.

Every session follows the same Circle Leadership formula: Content × Context = Concept.

  • Content is what we teach.
  • Context is where you apply it to your own business, and we coach it with you.
  • Concept is the action: where you see what it looks like working in your business.

You won't leave with inspiration. You'll leave knowing exactly where leadership sits in your business, and what it takes to build it into the organization.

01
SPOT THE DEPENDENCY

The Replacement Myth

Most owners measure success by how rarely the phone rings. That tells you very little about what happens when the next chair becomes empty. This session exposes where your business depends on a person rather than the organization, whether you've handed it to a capable leader or a system. You'll trace the last three decisions that reached your desk, then watch us work one through live to find what was missing.

02
BUILD THE ARCHITECTURE

The Architecture That Stays

Most businesses have their purpose, values, vision and mission written down somewhere. The question is whether the organization was built from them, or whether they were written afterwards to describe what was already there. This session turns your architecture into simple filters that tell everyone what a no is, so everything else can be a yes. Everybody answers to something first, not to someone. Then watch those filters applied live to a real decision from the room.

03
PUT IT TO WORK

The Monday Morning Test

Sales has promised a delivery date operations can't meet. Both teams have a target. Both can defend their position. The client is waiting. Does everyone head for the CEO's office? Put the architecture at the center of every table and every team becomes a complete unit, not a fragment waiting for instructions. This session shows how the people responsible can weigh the options against the organization's Purpose and Values and agree on action within their authority. Bring a real collision. We'll work one through live.

04
MAKE IT STAY

What Stays When They Leave

You reverse a decision without explaining which principle was breached. You take over at the first sign of difficulty. You settle every disagreement. Each intervention teaches the business something about who is allowed to think. A good steward prepares for their own absence. A bad one treats the organization as an extension of themselves. This session identifies the habits that make you, or your replacement, necessary, and what to do instead: clear authority, useful information and room for judgment, with accountability for reasoning.

FROM ORGANIZATIONS DOING THE WORK

What happens when leadership stops depending on one person.

Every one of our client organizations has stopped depending on one person. The CEO or the directors are no longer the only ones who can demonstrate leadership in the organization, because leadership is the property of the organization. Not a position within it.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

Freedom that doesn’t depend on one replacement.

This workshop is for you if…

  • You own or lead a business and want freedom that doesn't depend on one replacement
  • You've hired or promoted a strong leader and everything now runs through them
  • You're planning succession, a sale or a step back and want the business to hold its value when people change
  • Your teams escalate disagreements they could resolve themselves
  • You want to see how leadership gets built into an organization, worked live, on real situations

This workshop is not for you if…

  • You want to hire your replacement and walk away
  • You want to become a better individual leader. This workshop is about the organization
  • You want an architecture that binds everyone except you. If it doesn't bind the people with the most positional power, it isn't the authority. It's just a document they've permitted
  • You want to write values on a wall and call it done
  • You're not willing to bring real decisions from your own business. This is a working session

Founder, Circle Leadership Global

Dave Clare has been a leadership practitioner for more than 30 years across three continents. He has run a leadership organization since 1999, working with businesses across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK and the USA.

He started out developing leaders, and he was good at it. Then he watched them go back to organizations that couldn't hold what they'd become. So they left. That ceiling led him to the question he has pursued ever since: how does an organization keep leadership as its own capability?

He is the author of SIMPLIFIED: Leadership is simple. You lead people., humAIn: How AI Is Making Workplaces More Human and It's Time to Lead Different, and serves as International Chair of the Intercontinental Chamber of Commerce.

In this workshop, Dave takes apart the most popular promise in business coaching and shows you, live, how to build leadership that belongs to the organization.

BEFORE YOU JOIN

A few straight
answers.

A working session on your business.
Come ready to participate.

Is this really free?

Yes. No credit card, no catch. All we need is your name and email address.

Where is it held?

Live on Zoom. Your link arrives in your confirmation email.

Who is this for?

Business owners, founders and CEOs who want a business that doesn't depend on any one person, including the one they hired to replace themselves.

When is it, and how long?

Three hours, live, in four sessions: Thursday, October 15, 2026, 8:30–11:30am AEST (Brisbane). In North America that's Wednesday, October 14, 6:30–9:30pm ET / 3:30–6:30pm PT.

What should I bring?

Your workbook (sent after you register), the last three decisions that reached your desk, and one recent disagreement between two teams or people. We'll use them.

What does "Leadership is the property of the organization" mean?

The word "property" does double work. Property as a characteristic: the way hardness is a property of steel, leadership is part of the organization's nature. And property as ownership: leadership belongs to the organization, not to whoever happens to hold it for a while. Which means it doesn't leave when a leader leaves.

Does this mean getting rid of positions?

No. Read the sentence properly: not a position within it. There are still leaders, roles, a board and someone who makes the final call. A position carries authority and responsibility. It doesn't give anyone ownership of what the organization stands for.

Isn't this just leadership development with a new name?

Leadership development grows the capacity. The architecture gives it somewhere to live. Without it, the people you develop hit the ceiling of an organization that can't hold what they've become.

We already run on a system. Isn't that enough?

A system helps your business run as it is. It does nothing to help it evolve. And behind every system, authority and leadership still sit in positions. Systemizing your isness is a fool's game.

Won't this slow decisions down?

Only if the architecture isn't usable yet. Delegate outcomes, not tasks. The goal is faster decisions, closer to the work, in the right direction. Going the wrong way at twice the speed is still going the wrong way.

Does the founder have to follow it too?

Yes. Everybody answers to something first, not to someone. Everybody includes the founder.

What about the legal duties of the CEO and directors?

Every duty stays where the law puts it.

Will there be a pitch?

Yes, and we'll get it out of the way at the start so we can get on with the learning. There are three things we want you to buy:

  1. The need to do this.
  2. The fact that there are tools and resources available to help you do it.
  3. The fact that if you need help to do it, there are people like us at Circle Leadership who can help you.

And there's a gift. Everyone who attends is offered The Leadership Workshop, run in-house for you and your leadership team, back in your own workplace. It is designed specifically to help your leaders understand how to build the architecture that sets your organization up to be one where leadership is the property of the organization. BUILD WHAT OUTLASTS YOU

Every building
has an architect.

Every building has an architect. The architect of the Sydney Opera House left before it was finished. Others completed it. Years later, he was brought back, not to run it, but to write down its design principles so the building could be cared for and renewed beyond his lifetime.

If the architecture lives only in the founder's head, the organization stays dependent on the founder.

BUILD LEADERSHIP THAT STAYS

You’ve built the business.
You’ve carried it.
Now build what stays.

You've built the business. You've carried it. Maybe you've already handed it to someone capable, or to a system.

What's missing is leadership that belongs to the organization, so it stays when anyone leaves, including you.

Three hours. Four sessions. Worked live, on your real decisions.

By all means, build a business that runs without you.

Then ask what happens when its next leader leaves.

Leadership is the property of the organization. Not a position within it.

When the leader leaves the room, leadership remains.

Let's be straight. Most people who attend a workshop don't change anything afterwards. This one won't be different unless you do the work. A strong leader's departure will always matter. Experience and relationships take time to replace. The results we reference are real, from organizations that did the work over time. What we can promise is this: you'll leave knowing where leadership sits in your business, and what it takes to build it into the organization. The rest is up to you.

It's a big claim. It's supposed to be. Hold us to it.
