ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR
Nov 02, 2022There is a lot of attention on humanising organisatons today.
Perhaps finally businesses are realising that you cant treat people like an expendable commodity, or a means to an end and expect them to perform at the highest level sustainably. Maybe they want to create a cohesive and effective organisation of humans, systems, and processes.
When you are in a war for talent, there is a strong desire to tap into the latent hashtag talent and hashtag ability of your team (that you're already paying for). Businesses are experiencing lower employee engagement, and seeing increased hashtag turnover and hashtag absenteeism; resulting in lower hashtag productivity and hashtag performance.
People are experiencing hashtag burnout and hashtag fatigue at best from working longer and harder. No wonder many people have had enough and are doing the talking with their feet and walking out of these businesses.
Clearly, the need is there. So this begs the question...how do you do that? How do you humanise an organisation?
First, you need to understand human behavior. How do people become who they are? Then understand that organisations are just a bunch of humans working together to achieve a common goal.
So wouldn't it make sense then to have a process for organisatonal behavior that mirrors human behaviour?
Having an organisation designed to work the way humans work just makes sense. It certainly makes work more enjoyable (even when it's tough) and it feels more natural.
Once you can own that process, it becomes clear on how to do the same for your business.
The process should allow your team to understand why their work matters, how to make smarter decisions, what's the impact of the business on the world and what it is becoming to stay relevant. It should also paint a picture of what must be accomplished together and what matters most to give it traction so the team can eliminate everything else that is a hashtag distraction.
It should demonstrate how leadership strength and depth can be built across the organisation.
Imagine being able to own this process? The process that makes sense to humans?
You can...
